四、教学过程
(I) Lead in (5 minutes)
1. Show some beautiful pictures of natural scenery, such as mountains, forests,

beaches, etc.. What can you see in these pictures?Do you like nature? Guide the students
to answer in simple English, and thus leads to the topic of this lesson —— Nature.
(II) Reading activity 1 (10 minutes)
1. Distribute reading materials about the Amazon Rainforest.
2. Students should read the materials and then answer the following two questions:
- What can you learn about the Amazon Rainforest?
- What other things do you know about rainforests?
3. Please answer the questions, and the teacher will make comments and
supplements.
(Iii) Group discussion (15 minutes)
1. Divide the students into groups of 4-5 students each.
2. Issue a form to each group, which will read as follows:
Location Climate Plants Animals 3. Students are required to choose a favorite
natural landscape, such as grassland, desert, lake, etc., and then discuss in the group and
fill in the form.
4. Teachers shall inspect each group and give them necessary guidance and help.
(IV) Design booklet (5 minutes)
1. Each group designed a booklet on the selected natural landscape based on the
results of the discussion.
2. You can draw and write on a pamphlet to enrich the content as much as possible.
(V) Sharing and display (5 minutes)
1. Each group sent a representative to the stage to introduce their own group-
designed booklet to the whole class.
2. Students from other groups listen carefully, and can ask questions and express
their opinions.
(Vi) Summary and work assignment (5 minutes)
1. The teacher summarizes this lesson and emphasizes the importance of protecting
nature.
2. Assignment: Ask the students to complete their group pamphlets after returning
home, and write a short article to introduce the selected natural landscape.
