假如你是李华,你的美国笔友 杰克 对中国的端午节比 较 感 兴趣 ,请你写一封回
信, 简单 介绍端午节的来源,习俗,历史, 并 邀请他来中国体 验 端午节。
范文
Dear Jack,
I’m glad to learn from your email that you long for the knowledge about the
Dragon Boat Festival, one of the Chinese conventional festivals.
As we know, the Dragon Boat festival falls on May 5th on the lunar
calendar. So vital is the festival to people that almost everyone celebrates it in
China.
Firstly, I want to tell you something about the origin of the festival. There are
two main characters in the story. One is Qu Yuan and the other is Wu
Zixu. Qu Yuan was not merely an extraordinary poet, but also a politician with
patriotic spirit. The enemy seized the capital city of Chu Dynasty 278 B. C.
And it was a contributor to Qu Yuan’s jumping into Miluo River to end his life.
Afterwards, people set up the festival in order to shelter Qu Yuan’s body from
being eaten by fish in the river. Another people who is worth mentioning is Wu
Zixu, a renowned general. Secondly, people are accustomed to eating
specific food, such as rice dumplings, salty eggs and realgar wine.
